The Conspiracy of Thieves (1975)
It's China early 20th century and the country thrives on illegal gambling. The Department of State Security is sending Captain Chang (Dorian Tan) under the guise of the son of the former owner to infiltrate a casino run by criminals. Awesome and fantastic kicking from the Legendary Flash Legs Tan.

A very feeble attempt at affirmatie action
I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
The movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity
Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
THE CONSPIRACY OF THIEVES is a typically routine Taiwanese kung fu programmer set and in around a casino. A bunch of ruthless gangsters show up and bump off the owner in order to take over the place and profit from it themselves. Cue the appearance of Dorian 'Flash Legs' Tan as the white-suited hero who shows up to clean the place out. A very simple plot is dragged out endlessly here, and the brief, routine fight scenes don't add up to much. Visually, the white suits and early 20th century attire feel inspired by Shaw Brothers hits such as VENGEANCE and BOXER FROM SHANTUNG, but this doesn't even come close.
