If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
Watch something else. There are very few redeeming qualities to this film.
I have absolutely never seen anything like this movie before. You have to see this movie.
The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
The plot for this movie is 85% same as the "Class of 1984" a 1982 'Perry King' movie. Only the sub plots differs, anyway the movie was quite enjoyable, and Mohanlal as the leading guy as well as K.B Ganeshan in the role of villain were both good. I don't remember the character's names as i last saw this movie some 15 years ago. Anyway I remember the plot. Mohanlal, a new teacher to a college rubs some of the anti-social students the wrong way. At first Mohanlal tries to deal with them the peaceful way, but as days goes by, he loses his temper, mostly due to the political student gang fronted by K.B Ganeshan. Another teacher, played by Nedumudi Venu, soon looses his marbles and totes a gun in his class. He just stops short of shooting one student.If I say more I would be spoiling the suspense.Directed by Priyadarshan ( THE COPYCAT )
