Cavalry Charge: La Haie Sainte & Plancenoit - The French and Prussian Attacks
02011
Following on from Hougoumont and D'Erlon's Attack, Part III starts just as the great battle reaches its crisis point. Marshal Ney launched thousands of France's finest heavy cavalry against Wellington's thinning lines who had already taken a terrible battering on the Mont St Jean Ridge. Wave after wave of armoured horsemen broke against the steady squares of British, Dutch/Belgian and German troops. The crisis, however, took a further turn for the worse as the key bastion in Wellington's centre, the fortified farm of La Haie Sainte, fell to the French onslaught. The way to Brussels was now open and Wellington muttered, 'Give me Blucher or give me night'. With the situation looking bleaker by the second for Wellington and his troops, Napoleon fatefully hesitated to complete the coup de grace as the Prussians had closed in on his right flank at the Village of Plancenoit. Would the Young Guard be able to hold Blucher's men? There was all still to play for.

Journey Through Tornado Alley: Storm Chasing The Joplin EF-5 Tornado
102011
Legendary Emmy Award-winning storm chaser Jeff Piotrowski and photographer Kathryn Piotrowski captured every heart-stopping moment in HD from two perspectives. This footage, described as "the best tornado footage you will ever see", was shot at incredibly close range, with debris pelting their vehicle, "The War Horse." With debris still falling and the roar fading, Jeff and Kathryn transitioned into search and rescue mode. They were the first to arrive on Iowa St., hit directly by the EF-5 tornado. Jeff pulled people from the rubble, while Kathryn cleared twisted metal beams from the road for rescuers. Survivors Amber Munson, Ryan Tackett, Mark Lindquist (via his sister Linda Lindquist-Baldwin), Lucian Myers, and Judy Owens-Lowe share their stories of survival and courage. Joplin begins its recovery with the help of thousands of volunteers. The Spirit of Joplin thrives as the community rebuilds, wearing the badge of honor that says: I AM JOPLIN!

Freedom of Expression: Resistance & Repression in the Age of Intellectual Property
7.72007
In 1998, university professor Kembrew McLeod (Associate Professor of Communication Studies at the University of Iowa) trademarked the phrase "freedom of expression" - a startling comment on the way that intellectual property law restricts creativity and expression of ideas. This provocative and amusing documentary explores the battles being waged in courts, classrooms, museums, film studios, and the Internet over control of our cultural commons. Based on McLeod's award-winning book of the same title, Freedom of Expression charts the many successful attempts to push back this assault by overzealous copyright holders.
