The Vampire Diaries: A Darker Truth (2009)
Follows the investigation of Jason Harris into the murder of his sister Joanne. He follows Stefan Salvatore from NYC to Mystic Falls, believing him to be a vampire and his sister's killer.

Jason Harris claims he can prove that Stefan Salvatore killed his sister Joanne. He followed him from Manhattan to Mystic Falls. At the Mystic Grill, he asks the hostess about the Salvatore Boarding House. Jason knows Stefan is a vampire.
Jason Harris sets up traps in Stefan Salvatore's bedroom. He discovers and reads his current journal entry about Elena Gilbert. He assumes that Stefan is stalking her and grabs a stake, telling the camera that he'll be "ready and waiting."
Jason Harris films Stefan Salvatore as he jumps off a roof and lands safely. He follows Stefan into the woods and discovers two freshly killed rabbits then two dead hikers. With the fog growing, someone is watching him from behind a tree.
Jason arrives back in Stefan's house deducing that he won't be able to kill him and decides to burn the house instead. He finally solves the mystery of his sister's death at the hands of a vampire when he finds a man lurking in the shadows.
