Best movie of this year hands down!
Thanks for the memories!
It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.
A beautiful portrayal of the ups and downs of time travel, James Franco is superb and supported by a supremely talented cast. Daniel Webber depicts Lee Harvey Oswald so exceptionally well it's worth watching just for his performance. Lucy Fry and Sarah Gadon were both outstanding! There is a very deep and focused character development throughout the mini series, with an impressive array of emotions. Sometimes it's a thriller, sometimes it's sad, overall just a tremendous effort from JJ Abrahms, Stephen King and everyone involved.Shot in a classic 1960s vibe with a score that fits so well to the overall story. Please do yourself a favour and start this as soon as possible, I guarantee you will watch parts of it more than once.
I am a fan of time-travel movies and a history buff, so I was looking forward to this series. There are some positive aspects. The acting is good by all and the direction is well done.Where the series fails are in the subplots. The core plot is reasonably well done, but there are some ancillary plots, that I won't spoil, that are really, really dumb. The characters do things that are inconsistent with their other behaviors. It seems the writers needed to create some drama and didn't quite have the creativity to know how to do it in a plausible way.Ultimately, it ends up feeling like a weak network television show.
Powerful!! The attempt to go back in time, revealing a butterfly effect of hidden history is something interesting and in a way, destructive. Stephen King really captivates an audience by introducing a large range of emotion in a short story that has you on your toes from start to finish. This short series exclusively on Hulu, did a great job of casting James Franco, and in my opinion is some of seriously taken roles that I enjoyed watching twice.J.FK.'s widely theorized assassination creates a series of events that 11.22.63 represents ambitiously. If you enjoy the thought of diving into the treasures of our history, well this is the show for you.
I understand when minor changes to stories need to be made, but this was so untrue to the original book you wonder if the people making it even liked the original source material. It looks great, the actors are great - but it is a complete departure from the book that made me interested in the show in the first place.
