Based on a true story, Souad Qassem, a widow, falls for Mahmoud Elwan who deludes her into believing that he is a well-heeled and powerful man. When they get married, she and her daughter have to swallow their pride under the scourages of his cruelty and abuse.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
